MMM: Music Matinee Messiaskerk

The MMM which was planned for the 11th of February was postponed due to the cold weather, and will take place on Sunday, March 19th, 2023.

In this music matinee will be a concert of two choirs of the American School of The Hague – The ASH Community Choir, and the JAKK vocal ensemble.

The ASH Community Choir, under the lively conducting of Liat Alkan-Heymann, has been taking part in the MMM concerts for many years, as well as the Dickens Festival at the Dorpskerk here in Wassenaar. The choir members are not only part of the international community, but also a part of the local Dutch community, bringing people together through music. The choir sings a broad repertoire, from Mozart to Jazz and musical theater.

“But they are school students!” was the reaction at one of the concerts to the JAKK vocal ensemble. They are indeed students of the American School of The Hague, especially selected, and full with music and motivation. Their conductor and music teacher - Idan Goldwasser - leads them to the highest musical levels. They sing a-cappella like the stars in the heavens.
