Muziekvereniging Excelsior wint de Wassenaarse Cultuurprijs Muziek

Afgelopen zondag ontving onze voorzitter de Wassenaarse Cultuurprijs 2025 Muziek, waar wij natuurlijk heel trots op zijn. Wij bedanken de jury en organisatie van de Wassenaarse Cultuurprijs hartelijk voor deze erkenning.

Muziekvereniging Excelsior is een ambitieus en gezellig harmonieorkest van bijna 50 leden. De samenstelling van het orkest is zeer gevarieerd: alle leeftijden zijn vertegenwoordigd. De vereniging is stevig geworteld in Wassenaar, maar in toenemende mate ook regionaal gericht. Muzikanten uit bijvoorbeeld Den Haag en Leiden, en ook expats uit de regio, weten de vereniging steeds beter te vinden. Het orkest komt uit in de eerste divisie van het KNMO. Muziekvereniging Excelsior Wassenaar viert volgend jaar haar 125 jarig bestaan en zal meerdere concerten verzorgen met bijzondere solisten.

Nieuwe orkestleden
Om ons niveau op peil te houden zoeken wij ondersteuning en uitbreiding in onze kopersecties en de klarinetsectie. Heb jij zin om ons te versterken meld je dan aan via info@excelsiorwassenaar.nl of kom langs tijdens onze repetities op donderdag avond in de Schoolstraat 9 aanvang 20.00 uur.

Last Sunday, our chairman received the Wassenaar Culture Priijs 2025 Music, of which we are of course very proud. We thank the jury and organization of the Wassenaar Culture Prijs for this recognition.

Music association Excelsior is an ambitious and cozy wind orchestra of almost 50 members. The composition of the orchestra is very varied: all ages are represented. The association is firmly rooted in Wassenaar, but increasingly also regionally oriented. Musicians from The Hague and Leiden, for example, as well as expats from the region, are increasingly finding their way to the association. The orchestra plays in the first division of the KNMO. Music association Excelsior Wassenaar will celebrate its 125th anniversary next year and will give several concerts with special soloists.
