Wassenaar Warriors complete a fantastic rugby season

Youth rugby club Wassenaar Warriors looks back on a fantastic rugby season, with lots of activities for ages 7-17, rugby competitions and tournaments, both in The Netherlands and abroad, including some very nice results. The U10 Benjis won the finals of the famous Hoek van Holland Beach Rugby Tournament on June 3, the U12 Minis became the second best team of the Netherlands during the National Minis Finals in May, the U14 Cubs Warriors finished fourth in the Cup pool of Rugby Nederland, achieving the fourth best team in the Netherlands in the highest class of their age category, and also finished second at the United World Games in Austria on June 26.

Some wonderful results, achieved by creating a strong team spirit, players learning to work and play together supporting each other across different nationalities, backgrounds and abilities, which is at the heart of what the Warriors rugby club is about. The Warriors form a small club of 150 youth players and works closely with other clubs, such as SV Wassenaar, Voorburgse Rugby Club and RC Delft. At both U16 Juniors and U14 Cubs level, our players joined the Voorburg players in combined teams during the whole season, creating another strong bond between Dutch players and many other nationalities both on and off the pitch.

Wassenaar Warriors are looking forward to the next season.
