Wassenaar Warriors Cubs secure position in top youth competition
On Saturday 14th of January the Cubs of rugby club Wassenaar Warriors secured their participation in the Cup Plate competition for their age category (12-13 years old). During this stormy and very rainy day, they managed to beat the Cubs of Diok of Leiden in Wassenaar. The Warriors now enter the third phase of this level of national youth rugby competition, where they will again face the best teams in the Netherlands within this category.
Wassenaar Warriors is a youth rugby club with many members, coaches and volunteers with an international background (30+ nationalities). It is an inclusive and welcoming club with a true mixture of Dutch, French and British rugby and culture, playing within the competitions and regulations of Rugby Nederland. Communication is mostly in English, but players will be exposed to lots of different languages! The rugby values of sportsmanship, player development and safety are paramount at the club, as well as having fun on and off the pitch.
