The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia celebrates it's 92nd National Day
His Excellency Mr. Ziad Al Atiyah, Ambassador of Saudi Arabia to The Netherlands, welcomed a large number of guests at the Leonardo Royal Hotel in The Hague to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s 92nd National Day.

Among the many guests were numerous Ambassadors, dignitaries and members of the business community, such as the well known energy conglomerate Saudi Aramco. After delivering a short speech, Ambassador Al Atiyah took us back in time as he showed us a fascinating compilation of historic highlights, depicting the 150 years of cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of The Netherlands. The cooperation began when the first Dutch consulate was opened in Jeddah in 1872. Interesting old pictures were shown on the big screen, as well as unique video footage, such as H.M. King Faisal visiting the Hotel des Indes in The Hague, and many pictures, showing Prime Minister Mark Rutte with Saudi Arabian dignitaries and H.M. Queen Maxima with Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman on the Occasion of the G20 Summit in Osaka, Japan. After the speech and video presentation, the Ambassador invited his guests to lunch: an extremely lavish buffet of Arabic delicacies.
