Hoekje Historic
Wassenaar - Hoekje Historic is a versatile village walk through the center of Wassenaar, organized by Herberg 't Hoekje. One of our permanent, familiar faces of 't Hoekje is Erwin. In addition to a passion for Herberg 't Hoekje, Erwin also has a passion for history. It was once Erwin's idea to show old photos of Wassenaar in 't Hoekje, something that visitors have enjoyed for more than 10 years.
This is how the idea arose to organize walks, where Erwin, as an amateur historian, will tell you more about the history of Wassenaar. The walk starts at 't Hoekje, where you will be welcomed with coffee or tea. Then we go for a walk and you can finish it with a delicious 3-course menu. During the walk of about 3 kilometers (duration approx. 2 hours) we take you through the past of Wassenaar. Beautiful and special places that you usually pass by without knowing what it was like and how the village came into being. Centuries-old buildings, special squares, beautiful streets; we walk along historical sights that Erwin can tell you a lot about. Let us take you along so that you can get to know Wassenaar better!

Including reception with a cup of coffee or tea, followed by the walk, once back at ‘t Hoekje you will have dinner. Drinks during dinner not included. Choice of meat, fish or vegetarian menu.
Available from Friday April 15 every Friday and Saturday of the week, starting at 2 p.m.
On both Easter days, with Ascension Day and Pentecost we also walk!
