Jazz concert EigenGrau on October 30th in Cultureel Centrum Voorschoten

The second jazz concert of this season organised by PJPJ (Podium Jong Professionals Jazz) features a jazz trio founded a short while ago by students at the Royal Conservatoire in The Hague: Simon Gelsdorf on piano, Thor Johansen on bass and Nikolas Tsangaris on drums. They originate from Germany, Denmark and Cyprus respectively, combining their own national influences in new and energetic compositions but also reflecting styles of traditional bebop, Nordic jazz, classical music and rhthyms inspired by artists from the Middle East such as Tigran Hamasyan, Avashai Cohen and Shai Maestro.
For this concert a young saxophone player from Portugal – Hristo Goleminov – will make up a quartet.
The concert will take place at 20.00 hrs in het Cultureel Centrum in Voorschoten. Entrance: 7 euros, free for donors and minors (18 and younger). See for more info www.pjpj.nl
